When creating the emblem for China Fire Services we focused on the institution itself. The emblem of a fire service needs to be easily recognizable. You can see at first sight that this emblem is related to firefighting. We have chosen a clear and plain logo to represent China Fire Services. Firstly to symbolize China Fire Services’ wholeheartedness, respect and dedication to help people. Secondly to unify all ethnic groups and their individual qualities under one emblem. The design is strongly appealing, reflecting the urgenc.y of a fire service.

For the Ministry of Justice we created a red shield with the five stars of the Chinese national emblem enlightening the Great Wall below them. The Olive branches symbolize peace and harmony. The inner circle represents the circle of law. The message of the logo: Under the government of the Chinese Communist Party of China the power given by law is used just and peacefully. We chose the colour silver to distinguish the logo from the national emblem. Silver stands for peaceful, honorable and serious and therefore is the appropriate colour to represent the Ministry of Justice. The logo is easily recognizable.

We use the first letter C of the English name of Chongqing rural commercial bank as the main graphic element to present the exclusive attribute of the client. The triangle in the circle has the artistic conception of landscape, which embodies the geographical feature of Chongqing mountain city and Yangtse Rive. At the same time, the triangle is an upward graphics with stabilization, which represents the steady and progressive development of Chongqing rural commercial bank.

The new logo is a transmutation of the Chinese seal character of Hang, which embodies the inside information of Chinese traditional culture. It integrates the unique city name and the unique visual shape, and makes the signification effable. The Hang character in the logo syncretizes skillfully the elements of sailing ship, southern construction, west lake park, arch bridge, etc. The composing is delicate and harmonious, while the open structure shows the generous tolerance, which is the perfect visual expression of the humanistic culture of the city.

The Shaolin Temple in China is the birthplace of Zen Buddhism. Today Shaolin is mostly known for it’s influence on Kongfu. But it was in Shaolin Temple, where the Indian monk Bodhidarma founded China’s Zen Buddhism. The temple has become the centre of Chinese Buddhism. Dongdao felt very honored that abbot Shi Yongxin of Shaolin Temple personally explained the essence of Shaolin to us. Based on his thoughts we used a famous Hunyuan image of three men symbolizing Confucianism, Buddhism and Daoism. It is a very well known image in China and therefore very recognizable. We were delighted that our suggestion found the approval of abbot Shi Yongxin.
